Chicago Police spokesman Roderick Drew says the 15-year-old donned a suit and went to the dealership to take a test drive.
Drew says an employee had to jump start the car, and when he left to return equipment, the boy drove off.
Drew says the boy crashed a short time later. He says the boy apparently tried to blend into the crowd that gathered by grabbing a stroller. Drew didn't know if a child was inside.
The boy faces charges that include criminal trespass to a vehicle.
