Portion of Highway 6 shut down

The closing made for slow going this morning along Eldridge Parkway. One of the alternate routes. The Addicks Reservoir is overflowing due to heavy rains earlier this week.

Authorities say the water level in the reservoir could rise another two feet in the next several days.
