Spain confirms 1st swine flu case in Europe

Spain's Health Ministry has confirmed the country's first case of swine flu and says another 17 people are suspected of having the disease. [SWINE FLU: The latest news and answers to your questions]

Health Minister Trinidad Jimenez says the confirmed case was found in a young man who had recently been in Mexico.

Jimenez told a press conference Monday that the man is responding well to treatment and is not in serious condition.

The minister said it was the first confirmed swine flu case in Europe.
