Galveston mayor to arrive in Cuba

/*Mayor Lyda Ann Thomas*/ was scheduled to arrive in Cuba Wednesday. During her four-day trip, Thomas and Cuban leaders will talk about storm preparedness. Galveston is taking steps to recover following Hurricane Ike.

For Cuba, the storms seem to threaten more often. Thomas says Cuban meteorologists tried to warn the people of Galveston of the hurricane that hit in 1900.
