Obama to tout wind energy in Iowa visit

President Barack Obama is going on the road to pitch his energy plan -- as well as environmentally friendly jobs production -- in a hard-hit Iowa town, while administration officials make a similar push back in Washington. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The president and the former Iowa governor will visit a former Maytag plant that now houses a manufacturing facility that produces towers for wind energy production.

Before returning to Washington, Obama will deliver remarks discussing elements of his energy plan aimed at ending dependence on foreign oil, creating jobs and protecting the environment.
