Xcel Energy says electricity is still off for about 5,000 customers in Denver's western suburbs and for several hundred homes around Boulder. Crews have been working non-stop to get it back on.
The storm dumped more than four feet of snow in the foothills west of Denver. The city itself got from three to 10 inches. The snow also shut down an 80-mile stretch of Interstate 70 for a while. The American Red Cross set up shelters for hundreds of stranded motorists.
