Boil water notice lifted

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has lifted the Boil Water Notice issued Tuesday. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

According to the TCEQ, The Southwest Water Company has taken the necessary actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality in the Harris County WCID No. 109 district. The company has provided the TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as a safety measure.

This order had affected approximately 3,500 people in the Timber Meadows, Greenwood Forest and a portion of Cashel Forest neighborhoods.
