Two motorcyclists hurt in different accidents

Two different motorcycle wrecks sent riders to the hospital in critical condition. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The first happened late last night on the Eastex Freeway near Aldine Mail Road when the rider slammed into a stalled vehicle. Officers say a car broke down and stopped in the right lane. The motorcycle rider couldn't stop in time and hit the back of the car and was thrown down the freeway.

The second wreck happened in Tomball on Highway 249. The rider lost control of his bike, hit a curb near Holderrieth, and then slid through the median. He was taken to the hospital by Life Flight in critical condition. No other vehicles were involved.
