According to recent census bureau data, Fort Bend County's population grew nearly five percent between July 2007 and July 2008. That rate makes it the nation's 14th fastest growing county. Fort bend's population is now more than 532,000.
The number one fastest growing county in the US is Louisiana's St. Bernard Parish, which grew by nearly 13 percent.
