Wreck shuts down Gulf Fwy. northbound

IT happened near Clear Lake City Boulevard. Police say the driver was heading down the freeway when he lost control, clipped another car and slammed into a guardrail.

The female inside the clipped car was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. The SUV driver will be tested for alcohol.
