Funeral home hit by vandals

A funeral home in northwest Houston is now boarded up after it was seriously damage by vandals. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

It happened at the Morgan-Harris Funeral Home on West Montgomery at Dolly Wright earlier this week. Someone had taken large rocks and thrown them through the glass. The vandals even trashed the funeral home's new hearse.

The owners say they're just starting out and the damage is heartbreaking.

"When I got here, I just saw disaster," said owner Permella Harris. "It just doesn't look good. It puts you at a point where you have to start all over."

Houston police say eyewitnesses say they saw a man vandalizing the property. They say he appeared to be homeless. Police are looking for him.
