Motorcyclist dies in hit and run accident

It happened around 8pm Wednesday when a car and a motorcycle heading inbound on the Gulf Freeway near the South Loop got into an accident. It's unclear who was at fault, but authorities are searching for the driver of a 2000 Toyota Celica.

"The car took off and the guy is dead on the motorcycle," said Javier Calvillo with the Houston Police Department.

Cars were backed up on the inbound side of the Gulf Freeway for about four hours after this wreck.
