It happened around 12:30am Sunday at the Hearthwood apartments on the South Loop near Hearth. Investigators say the driver was backing up an SUV when they somehow slammed into the apartment wall. The vehicle went all the way through and hit a bedroom where a man was watching television.
He was knocked down and taken to the hospital with minor back injuries. The driver ran away.
