City of Houston buys Water Wall

The city of Houston has bought one of the area's most well-known landmarks.[SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The city bought the Water Wall near Williams Tower. The city paid $8.5 million for the Water Wall and an adjoining park. The park covers nearly three acres and has 186 live oak trees.

The 64-foot high Water Wall re-circulates 11,000 gallons of water per minute as it cascades down the inner and outer walls of the fountain.
