Racist picture found on Christmas tree

A Marshall school district employee has been fired after allegedly hanging a racially charged picture on a Christmas tree in a district building. Marshall school board trustee Charles Wilson says the picture showed a black man hanging by a noose.

The picture could be seen hanging from an ornament on a tree near an entrance to the Marshall Independent School District maintenance building.

Wilson said she believes the former worker, a white man, hung the picture in retaliation for being reprimanded by a black supervisor. She said the Christmas tree was near the supervisor's door.
