Capital Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kimberly Schneider says police are still investigating the source of the trouble in the Longworth House Office Building. That is one of three House office buildings that have hearing rooms and the private offices of lawmakers.

Fire trucks and police vehicles were lined up along Independence Avenue in front of the building and on adjacent streets.
