Teaching assistant arrested for drugs

According to HISD spokesperson Norm Uhl, a special education teaching assistant was arrested Monday morning at Harper Alternative School on Shepherd. A canine unit reportedly found marijuana in the teacher's vehicle.

The teaching assistant, whose name has not yet been released, began working at Harper about three months ago.p
