It happened around 2am Tuesday. The victim and his girlfriend were leaving a club and heading home when someone pulled up beside them and started firing.
"It appears he was actually in motion when the shots rang out and struck him," said Sgt. Brian Evans with the Houston Police Department. "The vehicle was still in drive when the first responding officers arrived on the scene and they actually put the vehicle into park, so it appears he was actually in motion when the shooting occurred."
We're told the female who was in the car was kneeling on the floorboard during the shooting and wasn't struck.
During the police investigation, police had Bellaire at Kirkwood shut down.
