Obama wants a 'green' White House

WASHINGTON In an interview with Barbara Walters, Obama said he plans to sit down with the chief usher for the presidential mansion and do an evaluation of its energy efficiency.

He says part of what he wants to do is show the American people that it's not that hard to go green.

Asked whether he'll be tiptoeing around at night, turning off the lights, Obama said he isn't going to be obsessive about it.

He says he doesn't do that now where he lives and there's no reason to do that in his new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

ABC provided excerpts of the interview, which airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST.
