Student of the month honored

GALENA PARK, TX Alanis is president of the Galena Park High School Senior Class of 2009 and is also a member of the Superintendent's Advisory Board and a four-year member and current producer of JACKET-TV.

He has organized fundraisers to help pay for the Senior Prom since his freshman year. Alanis has been a member of Air Force Junior ROTC, the Jacket Yearbook, the Inside Buzz Newspaper, and Quill and Scroll. He has worked for GPHS as a student office aide and spends many Friday nights working for GPISD Stadium as a camera operator for the live broadcasts of football games.

Alanis plans to attend Lee College in Baytown after graduation and pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
