Crackdown on delinquent red light runners

Houston city council on Wednesday passed an ordinance that would make it impossible for red light runners to renew their vehicle registrations if they don't pay their $75 fine.

The measure would still need cooperation with TxDOT to implement vehicle registration holds on delinquent red light tickets.
