HOUSTON Senior defensive back Kevin Thornton let his emotions flow before the game. Thornton was unable to play because of a broken collarbone from the final game of the season.
The Friendswood defense held an explosive Lamar offense to just 82 yards rushing. They keep The Mustangs out of the end zone for the final five and a half minutes to hold on and move on Andrew Weber.
Thornton laid it all out before the game. Friendswood played their hearts out for their defensive leader.
