Tan salon owner accused of making false claims

The state Attorney General says ads from Darque Tan claim their indoor tanning beds can increase the body's level of Vitamin D and reduce the risk of cancer.

Texas law prohibits tanning salons from claiming health or medical benefits.

The state is seeking thousands of dollars in civil penalties related to the alleged false ads.
