Suspect dies while trying to cross freeway

It happened around 10:15pm when officers got a call about a home invasion at an apartment complex on McCue. After officers arrived at the scene the suspect ran away. Officers tried to Taser him but that didn't work.

The suspect ran to the Southwest Freeway where he was hit by car. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital where he later died.
