Galveston Causeway finally finished

GALVESTON, TX TxDOT has finally finished the Galveston Causeway. A second span of the causeway has been added. Northbound and southbound sides each now have three traffic lanes, an auxiliary lane, and much wider shoulders.

Hurricane Ike delayed the project by about a month, because the causeway's structural integrity had to be tested after the storm.
