One injured in two-alarm apartment fire

HOUSTON Investigators say the fire started just before 11pm at the Brays Oak Village apartments on West Bellfort. Firefighters arrived to see heavy flames coming from two upstairs units and pulled a second alarm.

Crews went door to door to make sure the sleeping residents got out safely.

One man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was eventually knocked down, but eight units were destroyed. Arson is now investigating.
