Man shot during child's birthday party

HOUSTON A man showed up at an apartment on Chipman at Goodson where the party for his son was being held. The father and another man got into a fight.

The father allegedly went to his car, got a gun and shot the other man. The victim was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition. The suspect suffered a gunshot wound to his hand.

Authorities say the children witnessed the whole thing.
