DALLAS, TX --
Dallas police detained a man accused of throwing his 2-month-old daughter into a more than waist-deep construction hole for a water line. Police are trying to determine what sparked Friday afternoon's incident that left the infant with apparent non-life threatening injuries. She was being examined at a Dallas hospital. Police say the 31-year-old man allegedly took the girl from a house and tossed her into the hole, then tried to flee. Construction workers held the man for police.
