The sponsoring group, the Young Men's Business League, on Friday announced cancellation of the Oct. 16-26 event at Ford Park.
Organization officials say the fair should not be a top priority as individuals face financial difficulties following Ike, which hit Southeast Texas on Sept. 13.
Jefferson County officials also say Ford Park will continue to be a staging area for federal, state and local assets for Ike rebuilding.
