Man who said Satan killed wife gets 99 years

FORT WORTH, TX Wayne Edwards testified Thursday in a Fort Worth courtroom that the devil pulled the trigger and shot Debroah Edwards in January as she tried running and calling for help inside her home.

The 49-year-old father of four said he would "never kill anybody." He also testified that he was delirious, manic and temporarily insane at the time, The Dallas Morning News reported in its online edition.

Prosecutors said Debroah Edwards was a nurse who worked numerous jobs to support her family. Her husband said she offered to work three jobs if he would stay off drugs.
