Traffic stop turns into police chase

HOUSTON Just before 2am, an HPD officer stopped the driver of a Chevy SUV for a traffic violation. The driver later took off and crashed into a fence around Reliant Park.

Police say he jumped the fence, ran across the parking lot, scaled the fence on the other side and got away. Police found a gun in the SUV.

Authorities also believe the vehicle was used in a robbery earlier.
