Principal reinstated following questionable remarks

HOUSTON HISD says it looked into eight allegations of racist remarks by Twain Elementary School Principal Joyce Dauber. She was cleared of all but one accusation.

Dauber told the district she didn't mean to be insensitive when she asked her grandson be placed in a class with "nice white neighborhood boys."

She apologized and pointed out her own grandson is Hispanic.
