'Early Bird Bandit' strikes bank by 4am

HUMBLE, TX The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man nick-named the "Early Bird Bandit", after committing an early morning robbery at a Woodforest National Bank branch. The bank is located inside the 24-hour Wal-Mart store located at 9451 FM1960 in Humble, Texas.

At approximately 3:44am, the "Early Bird Bandit" entered the bank and approached the teller counter. He threatened he had a gun and even motioned to his waistband while he demanded money from two tellers inside the bank. No weapon was observed, but fearing for their lives, the tellers removed the cash from their drawers and laid it on the counter. The "Early Bird Bandit" grabbed the cash, stuffed it in the front of his pants, and fled. He was seen getting into a dark colored vehicle which was captured by the bank's surveillance cameras. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The "Early Bird Bandit" is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20-25 years old, 5'8"-5'9" tall, 170-180 pounds with an average build. His dark hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He also had dark facial hair stubble. During the robbery, the Early Bird Bandit wore an olive green t-shirt with a light blue logo design on the front, and he wore a tan baseball cap.
