Apartment resident kills would-be intruder

HOUSTON It happened at the Sierra Pines apartments on Sierra Blanca near the Westpark Tollway in southwest Harris County. Deputies say a resident inside that apartment shot the man trying to get in.

Right now, Harris County is not pressing charges. Deputies say that decision will be left up to a grand jury.
