Man stabbed in head by intruder

SUGAR LAND, TX It happened around 3am when a female suspected pried open the back door of the home on Elmwood near Greenway. Police say the intruder went inside the home, went upstairs to the master bedroom and started stabbing the male homeowner in the head with a kitchen knife. The wife woke up and grabbed a baseball bat and hit the woman. They were able to subdue her and get her under control until authorities arrived.

The homeowner was not severely injured but he was taken to the hospital. The wife was not injured and neither were their children who were inside of the home at the time of the attack.

<>P> Authorities say the woman had done some kind of contract work for the family but why she attacked the homeowner is still unclear at this time.
