Suspicious package shut down Bolivar Ferry

PORT BOLIVAR, TX The Coast Guard tells Eyewitness News that suspicious package was found on the Lanier Boat moored on the Bolivar side about 8pm. The Coast Guard set up a 500-foot safety perimeter while that suspicious package was looked over.

Officials aren't saying what the package was. They are only saying that investigators determined it was not a device of any kind.

The ferries resumed service just after midnight.
