East Houston home invasion turns deadly

HOUSTON Police say two men kicked in the front door of a home on Curtis near Benson around 10pm yesterday. The suspects robbed the two residents at gunpoint.

About the same time, a neighbor came over. He got into a fight with the suspects and ended up being shot multiple times. He was taken to Ben Taub, where he later died.

The suspects remain on the loose.
