Girl, 6, dies after mom crashes SUV

HOUSTON Authorities say Bianca Rose Barrintos died at the hospital. She and her mother were in serious condition after the early Saturday morning crash on Will Clayton Parkway near Bush Intercontinental Airport. An airport security guard was driving behind the mother and saw her veer off the road.

"The next thing we knew, her lights and everything went off," recalled eyewitness Henry Frazier. "We approached her. We could see that she hit the tree. And the baby was smoking. And the baby started crying."

The guard tried to comfort the child until firefighters cut her and her mother out of the SUV. Police say the vehicle was full of beer bottles.
