Man killed while trying to cross freeway

HOUSTON Harris County deputies say the victim had apparently run into a business claiming someone was chasing him and then took off. He then ran across the westbound and eastbound main lanes of the freeway. The man was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Deputies say the man died at the scene.

The driver, Juan Vega, was found to be intoxicated. Vega was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.
