Deadly viper escapes again at Moody Gardens

August 8, 2008 3:26:12 PM PDT
Police in Galveston are investigating another disappearance of a deadly viper snake at Moody Gardens. A Moody Gardens spokesperson told us that a 10-inch bush viper has gone missing from its enclosure. The police are involved because Moody Gardens believes someone tampered with the lock to the snake's enclosure.

Last month, the same snake got out of its enclosure but Moody Gardens initially said that did not happen.

The Rain Forest Pyramid at Moody Gardens has been closed off while the exhibit is inspected.
