Volunteer firefighter accused of arson

A former volunteer firefighter is accused of setting a fire in the City of South Houston, then dispatching firefighters to it.Alirio Arteaga, 20, is charged with arson. Investigators say he set a number of pallets on fire at a business on Sherman Street and Pennsylvania back in mid-July. South Houston police say Arteaga went back to the business the next day, apologizing for what he did.

Arteaga is scheduled to be in court in a couple of weeks.
