Alcohol being blamed in serious wreck

HOUSTON Authorities say a driver lost control and slammed into a pole as the vehicle approached the intersection at West 18th at the N. Loop.

Witnesses say there were only two people in the car at the time of the accident. But the people in the car say a third guy ran away. One person in the car did suffer minor injuries.

HPD is investigating the accident.
