Car slams into apartment complex along I-45

HOUSTON It happened this morning near the southbound I-45 service road near Tidwell. The car hit the apartment office, injuring both the apartment manager and the driver of the car. Two other people who were in the leasing office were not hurt.

Both the apartment manager and the driver of the car were transported to the hospital.

Authorities say the car was traveling southbound on I-45 and the driver decided to make a last minute exit at Airline when he lost control of the car while exiting the freeway. The driver will receive a ticket for failure to stay in a single lane.

The wreck caused a big backup on the North Freeway but it has since cleared up.
