Burn ban may be lifted in Brazoria Co.

Brazoria County officials are considering lifting a burn ban because of the amount of rain Hurricane Dolly left behind. The emergency management coordinator says last week's storm dropped two to four inches of rain to the county. That was enough to remove the area from the Texas forest service's extreme fire danger list.

The ban was put in place last month because of persistent dry, windy conditions and no decent rain in two months.

Commissioners will make a final decision tomorrow morning.
