Investigators say Hare was told by the manager -- Luis Monroy -- to leave the restaurant last week, after making unwanted advances on a female worker. Deputies say Hare later confronted Monroy in the parking lot and shot him.
Hare's family was in court Monday morning. They're grieving for their son and the victim's family.
Susan Hare, the suspect's mother, said tearfully, "I just want to say how sorry we are. There's no words to express how we feel about this, and our heart goes out to the family. Once again, we're just very sorry."
Investigators say Hare confessed to the shooting. His bond is set at $50,000.
