Child wounded in possible drive-by shooting

HOUSTON Police first learned about the shooting at a grocery store on Cullen near Selinksy in southeast Houston Saturday afternoon. That's where they found a 22-year-old man who'd been dropped off after being shot in a different location. Investigators then learned there was a three-year-old boy with a gunshot wound at a nearby fire station. Police suspect both victims were riding in the same car when they were fired upon.

"It may have happened down the street," said Bart Nabors with the Houston Police Department. "It may have been a running gun battle between two vehicles coming down the street."

The condition of the victims is unknown. Police have not identified a suspect, but they did find a bullet-ridden car abandoned in a field near the grocery store. They believe that car was one of the vehicles involved in the shooting.
