Man sitting on tracks killed by train

CONROE, TX Around 9:30am Monday, Conroe Police Department officers and investigators with the Conroe Fire Department were called to the 1500 block of South Frazier. Witnesses say a man was seen sitting on the railroad tracks. They said he didn't move as the train approached and he was struck by the northbound Union Pacific train.

The subject sustained fatal injuries and Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarity pronounced the subject deceased at the scene and ordered an autopsy.

The name of the subject has not been released awaiting notification of next of kin. The investigation is continuing.
