Reward offered in series of school burglaries

HOUSTON Back on June 14, Isaacs Elementary School at 3830 Pickfair in Houston was burglarized. When officers arrived, they discovered a hole had been kicked through the west wall of the secretary's office from the outside. Several boxes and a printer cabinet were turned over in the office and several items including handheld radios and personal items from school personnel were taken.

Over the past months, several schools in the area have been burglarized. The entry points for the burglaries were similar, if not the same as at Isaacs Elementary. Other schools burglarized include Scott Elementary School, Fleming Middle School, Kashmere Gardens Elementary, and Concord Elementary. These schools have each been burglarized several times.

The items taken in each incident include everything from cleaning supplies up to power washers and carpet cleaning machines. The total cost of items taken and the damage to the schools are well over $50,000.
