Officer involved in car wreck

HOUSTON It happened around 3am at Bingle near Pinemont. The HPD unit was traveling northbound on Bingle when a pickup truck ran a red light. The officer couldn't stop in time and the two collided. The driver of the truck was taken into custody.

Authorities say they will check to see if he was intoxicated. No one was injured.
