Armed bank robbed caught on camera

CYPRESS, TX The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs the public's assistance in identifying an armed bank robber who robbed the Sterling Bank located at 12120 Jones Road , in Cypress, Texas on July 10, 2008. Bank surveillance cameras captured photos of the armed bank robber as he pointed a black handgun in the direction of the teller.

At approximately 09:20 am, a lone black male entered the Sterling Bank and walked directly to the teller counter. The robber placed a dark colored bag on the counter with his left hand while pointing a black handgun in the direction of the teller with his right hand. Once the handgun was observed, the teller complied with the robber's demands. The armed bank robber exited the bank with the cash. No getaway car was observed by witnesses and no one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The armed bank robber is described as a black male, medium to dark complexion, height approximately 5'5" to 5'8", between 160 to 185 pounds. The robber had a goatee and was wearing a dark colored base ball cap, dark sunglasses, with a striped long sleeved shirt.
